  • Gabriella Susilowati

Abstract

his green agricultural policy aims to increase environmentally friendly agriculture product. Sawn wood industrial waste in the form of sawdust which has the potential to pollute the
environment, can be processed into mushroom growing media. Mushrooms are the best vegetables for consumption in the household, because of their high nutritional content, certainĀ  mushrooms even have medicinal functions. The low consumption of mushrooms in Indonesia is partly due to the production of mushrooms in Indonesia which is still very low and insufficient. Stakeholders need to take systematic and integrated steps to optimize the sawdust waste between the Directorate General of Horticulture who was responsible to mushroom development, BPPSDMP, agricultural extension agents at the field level, the Industry Office that fosters the sawmills industry, the local government at sawmills industry centers and Mushroom production centers, LIPI, Universities and farmers. Nationally, in 2014 there was a primary timber industry, namely the sawn timber, pulp, veneer and plywood industry, totaling 5.28 million m and 5.42 million tonnes, of which about 40% will become waste. Sawn wood industrial waste is 40.48% by volume, wooden patch (22.32%), wood chips (9.39%) and
sawdust (8.77%).
